CAMP HILL RESIDENCE

“The Push team were friendly and polite and had the ability to quickly grasp a very good understanding of our needs and goals. They provided creative, innovative and practical solutions to achieve our dream home. Not only did Push design a beautiful home for us, they project managed the entire construction phase which eliminated a lot of stress and generated better overall efficiency to implement the project.”

GRIFFITH UNI STUDENT GUILD UNI BAR

“Push were given a brief to create a bar space that was aesthetically pleasing, functional and a place where students and staff felt comfortable congregating. The space they had to work with included a soulless aging cafeteria that was well past its used-by-date. Push more than met the brief. They managed to turn the space itno a contemporary beautifully designed Bar and Function Centre which students and staff love to go to and hang out.”

DOOR 42

Regional Housing Limited is pleased to provide a testimonial regarding the design of our Door 42 Youth Centre, and the way in which its features elevate the service we provide to young people.

Our staff feel that it is a privilege to work in a space that is “state of the art” and beautiful. They often comment on the use of colour, and light to give the sense of a safe and calm environment. The reception foyer where staff work is functional and efficient in design, whilst feeling spacious and also providing extra security for the young people living there. The large communal spaces encourage a true sense of community, where our young people interact and build connections with each other and our staff. Onsite independent living units allow young people to move from a directly supported environment to one where they can build confidence and improve their life skills, while still accessing support if needed, setting Door 42 apart from similarly funded accommodation.

Door 42 – A Residents Perspective

“I have been staying at Door 42 for the past 6 weeks and I just love it. The staff were so warm and welcoming when I arrived and I settled in to my space really quickly. I love my bedroom. It’s a great size and having a desk space is really helpful for my study. I also love the open feel of the house and the colours of the bathroom are on point. So coastal. The walk-in shower is amazing and I love how the showerhead comes off and is not fixed to the wall. The living space is open and welcoming and the Door 42 community meet regularly for meals and activities.

I have started gardening and we have a shared community garden where we are growing some strawberries, pumpkins and cucumbers. It’s awesome seeing them grow from nothing. The units are also really cool and one of the residents told me they are super spacious.

I highly recommend to any young person who is seeking emergency accommodation support to speak to Door 42. They really care about what happens to you and they do everything they can to make sure you are ready for transitioning to independent living”.
